Our boutique on-site accommodation turns your wedding into a relaxed, immersive celebration.

With space for up to 10 guests across four well-appointed bedrooms, Waipuna Estate is designed for connection, calm, and creating memories together.

You’re not rushing from a hotel or navigating logistics — you’re already here, waking up to stillness, big skies, and the people who matter most, or slipping away to the honeymoon suite after an evening celebrating your love as newlyweds.

Your own private retreat

Set just steps from the ceremony and reception spaces, our accommodation offers both comfort and convenience. Arrive the afternoon before to settle in, do a run-through, and enjoy a relaxed evening with your wedding party. Share a bottle of wine, rehearse your vows, laugh through the nerves — this is your time to soak it all in.

In the morning, a seasonal breakfast is served to set the tone for the day ahead — calm, grounded, and taken care of.

A serene space to start your day

Each room is styled for comfort and simplicity, with large light-filled windows, calming tones and thoughtful touches throughout. There’s plenty of room for getting ready, photography, hair and makeup, and those quiet, meaningful moments before the ceremony begins.

Make a weekend of it

Our wedding packages include one or two nights' exclusive access to the house, allowing you to stretch out the celebration. Stay the night after the wedding to unwind, recap the magic, and enjoy one more slow morning before returning to real life.

    As the master suite and a favoured honeymoon retreat, the Kōwhai Room offers a blend of luxury and tranquility. Wake up to breathtaking vistas of the Southern Alps and the Canterbury Plains through expansive windows that bathe the room in natural light. The spacious ensuite features a double shower and premium amenities. A substantial walk-in wardrobe makes it ideal for bridal preparations.

  • Matai Room

    Designed with both comfort and flexibility in mind, the Matai Room is perfect for families or groups. Furnished with a plush king bed and two additional single beds, it comfortably accommodates up to four guests. Step through a sliding door onto a private courtyard area, leading into tranquil native bush.

  • Rimu Room

    The Rimu Room exudes a cosy charm, featuring a comfortable king bed adorned with quality linens. This room shares a spacious bathroom with the Rata Room, making it ideal for family members or close friends.

  • Rātā Room

    Featuring a king bed and tasteful furnishings, it provides a welcoming and restful space to unwind. This room shares a bathroom with the Rimu Room. Its proximity to the main areas of the estate ensures that you're never far from the heart of the celebration.​
